WaCClim - Water and wastewater utilities for climate mitigation

Support utilities in Mexico, Peru and Thailand in identifying processes and technologies to improve their carbon footprint. A methodology of performance assessment was developed for quantification of greenhouse gas emissions in order to determine the baseline for each utility as well as to monitor reductions throughout the project. Direct emissions from wastewater handling are thereby qualified and indirect emissions from energy consumption are quantified.
