Description
The participation of LNEC in 2017/8 focuses on two cross-cutting sectors: Water Resources and Energy.
Water as a resource is of central importance to other sectors or may pose a threat to the safety of people and property. The main activities to be developed, combining the main objectives, are:
- identification of current and future impacts and vulnerabilities and characterization of metropolitan and county adaptive capacity;
- proposals of options and adaptation measures.
Objectives
- Promote the integration of adaptation into sectoral policies.
- Implement adaptation measures.
- Improve the level of knowledge on climate change.
- Contribute to the elaboration of a plan to adapt to the AC, at the metropolitan scale, according to the vision of ENAAC 2020, combining three objects:
Results
- Two reports by sector (Water Resources and Energy) to integrate the PMACC-AML;
- Maps and other georeferenced information;
- Awareness raising and training of people through workshops.
