Municipal Plans for Emergency and Civil Protection (municipalities of Lajes do Pico, São Roque do Pico, Lajes das Flores)

These plans established the guidelines and rules of action for the different agencies, services and structures in civil protection operations of municipal scope, in order to deal with the effects of a major accident or catastrophe that could affect a certain area of the municipality or its whole territory . Among others, were considered the risks of floods, coastal overtopping, coastal erosion, tsunamis and pollution accidents in coastal areas.
