River Basin Management Plan for the Azores River Basin District (2016-2021)

The project aimed the elaboration of the River Basin Management Plan for the nine islands of the Azores Region, developed under the second cycle of implementation of the EU Water Framework Directive, highlighting the characterization of the region, the establishment and assessment of environmental and socio-economic scenarios, the definition of strategic and environmental objectives, the establishment of management guidelines and a system for promoting and monitoring the plan’s implementation.
