Description

The project AdaPT AC:T developed a method to assess hotels vulnerability to Climate Change and to support the development of adaptation plans. The developed method is supported by indicators of performance and vulnerability establishes using the information collected during hotels audits. Those indicators were validated and calibrated with hospitality sector practices and best available practices, given the cost-benefit analysis. http://adapt-act.lnec.pt/index_en.php

Objectives

  • Development of politics and plans for the climatic changes adaptation with the partners of the project
  • The Identification of useful indicators for the management and monitor the impact of the climatic changes and the adaptation measures
  • Identify measures to mitigate and adapt touristic enterprises for efficient usage of water and energy through technologic and behavioral measures
  • Establish indicators to quantify performance and vulnerability of the touristic enterprises against the climatic changes
  • Establish a method to evaluate the vulnerability of the touristic enterprises against the climatic changes
