Waste waters are coming from the industrial production of wines. This activity is characterized by a strong influence of seasonality, as it mainly occurs during 1-2 month per year, whereas the remaining months the activity is very low. For that reason the technology applied is a batch biological oxidation process or SBR process (sequence batch reactor), which in this case uses two SBR reactors. The destination of the treated waters are the public domain.
