Description

This project includes the implementation of a new SCADA system that covers the entire drinking water supply system of the Algarve region. This new system is intended to integrate all existing supervision systems of the supply subsystems in a single version. It will also serve as a basis for future integration of the sanitation system and its subsystems in the Algarve region.

Results

All necessary machines (servers and clients) will be materialized using virtual machines supported on virtualization platforms. This solution allows a more efficient use of computing and storage resources, as well as greater robustness and flexibility of the system. The system continues to operate regardless of the actions taken on the physical machines.

Creation of a SCADA supported on a single hardware/software platform, serving both the supply system and the sanitation system. The consolidation of information in an industrial database will allow the implementation of a reporting solution that can be accessed transversally throughout the organization.

Considering the increasing need to guarantee the security of access and operation of SCADA systems, this reformulation will also integrate the cybersecurity aspect of its future operation.
