New Water Distribution Network and Customer Connections in Dar es Salaam City

The studies cover the city of Dar es Salaam and peripheral districts in an area of 310 000 ha, in  order to  supply a population  in the  project  horizon  (year 2032)  of  11.3 Million.

The project includes: expansion the water distribution network by 2,000 km; construction of about 372,000 household connections and 470 water kiosks; Implementation of new District Metering Areas (DMA) and Design of the network with the World Bank Guidelines on Bidding Procedures.

Review  of  the  water  supply  and  distribution  Master  Plan; Hydraulic modelling and calculations, and Topographical Survey; Review of the current situation on Non-Revenue  Water  and incorporation  of remedial measures; Detailed  Design  for  expansion  of  the  water distribution network and customer connections and elaboration of the Tender documents;
