Recast of the Energy Efficiency Directive and Building Audit Certification Scheme in Portugal

All EU countries were required to use energy more efficiently at all stages of the energy chain from its production to its final consumption, and therefore were required to transpose the EED’s provisions into their national laws. S317 consultants were responsible for the design and implementation of the recast of the EED in Portugal, that aimed to adjust to the Portuguese reality the guidelines laid down in the Directive.

• Advising of the Portuguese Government on the design and implementation of the Building Certification Scheme

• Implementation of the operational scheme including financial incentives

• Redesign of the experts certification process
