Preparation of the Maputo Wastewater Drainage System Detailed Design and Works Supervision

The design phase will involve three components: (i) design of the Polana (EE1) and UEM (EE2) pumping stations and rising mains; (ii) design of the main trunk sewers (E-MP1); and (iii) design the upgrades and expansion of priority secondary and tertiary network and sewer connections. EE1 was designed for a 111.1 l/s capacity and EE2 for a smaller one, 50 l/s. The value of the total equivalent population served by the E-MP1 was estimated for the year 2040 (420,784 equivalent inhabitants).
