Irrigation Study in Portugal

The study was carried out with the aim of creating conditions that would allow the precise and consistent definition of irrigation policy in mainland Portugal.
In addition to the preparation of a Guide for the Identification of Hydro-agricultural Projects, applicable to all the agro-ecological regions of the Continent, the study and the survey of Existing Irrigation was done, New Irrigation Areas were identified and a Model of Allocation of Funds was drafted.

Characterization study of the existing irrigation systems and inventory of new potential areas with a view to contribute to the definition of the Agricultural Hydraulics Policy in Portugal.
