Description
The supplied SCADA system was based on a WinCC redundant solution, including a historical server, two operator stations and one engineering station. Communications with the PLC (5 units) in the Pumping Station are made over a Ethernet FO redundant ring. The communication with the Cross over Chambers is also through an Ethernet over a FO link. All the machines are automatically synchronized using a GPS LAN server.
Results
The PLC in the Pumping Station are all Siemens in a redundant configuration with IO segregation to improve availability. All system cabinets have HMI with a similar design of the SCADA system to minimize operator adjustment.
The Supplied system allows the customer to operator the Pumping station with minimum number of employees. The high availability of the system (more then 99,95%) assures operation continuity, essential in this kind of installation.
All energy and waste water flow data is stored for future analysis.
