Certification of AdNorte in NP ISO 50001

Implementation of an Energy Management System (SGE) in Águas do Norte, aligning this implementation with the certification in ISO 50001

• Phase 1 (2017-2018) The facilities to be included in the border of the SGE are the WTP of Areias de Vilar, WWTP of Vila Real
• Phase 2 (2018) Extension of the implementation of the Standard to another 4 facilities: Capture of S. Jorge, EE Casais, EE Barradas-Cerite and Capture
• Phase 3 (2019) Expansion of the implementation of the Standard to another 4 facilities: Vilar WTP, Alto Rabagão WTP, S. Jorge WTP and Serzedo WWTP

Thus, at the end of 2019, it is estimated that 12 installations are certified, which correspond to 41% of the total AdNorte consumption, based on the year 2017.
The certification of these facilities and the implementation of an Energy Management System lead to the creation of procedures, analyzes and studies, implementation of routines, actions and measures, which will result in a proportional reduction estimated to reach 2% year, which in terms of consumption represents 2.1 GWh / year.
