Description

The Saquinho dam has the main purpose of irrigation, based on the following characteristics:

    • Concrete arch-gravity dam with 33,9 m of maximum height above foundation and 87,6 m of crest length.
    • Uncontrolled spillway on the dam body, designed for a maximum flow of 312 m3/s, with a Creager spillway sill.
    • Bottom outlet (Ø500 mm) embedded in the dam’s body and designed for a maximum flow of 1,65 m3/s.
    • Two Ø300 mm water intakes located on the dam upstream face.
