Description

The Salineiro dam has the main purpose of irrigation, based on the following characteristics:

    • Stone masonry dam with 30,1 m of maximum height above foundation and 176,5 m of crest length.
    • Uncontrolled spillway on the dam body, designed for a maximum flow of 214,5 m3/s, with a Creager spillway sill.
    • Bottom outlet (Ø500 mm) embedded in the dam’s body and designed for a maximum flow of 1,61 m3/s.
    • Two Ø400 mm water intakes located on the dam upstream face
