Description
This technical assistance implemented by AdP in 2013, funded by the African Development Bank, was intended to support the creation and general operation of the new Sumbe Water and Sanitation Enterprise and thus contribute to providing the Province of South Kwanza and the Municipality of Sumbe with greater capacity in the service of water supply and sanitation to its population.
Objectives
- Develop and implement technical and vocational education and training (“TVET”) for the staff of the Sumbe Water Utility
- Define human resource development and recruitment strategy to meet the staffing needs of the Utility
- Elaborate a long-term strategic investment and business plan
Results
During the 12 months of the project, the consortium led by AdP supported the creation of the Sumbe water company, providing it with the processes and procedures essential to its sustainable growth.
Next challenges
Following the work carried out and in a logic of sustainability of the actions implemented and results obtained, to maintain the follow-up to the Sumbe Water and Sanitation Company.
