Description
The project aimed at preparing the start-up of the future Water and Sanitation Company in Benguela as well as developing methodologies for the correct exploration of the Benguela, Lobito, Catumbela and Baía Farta systems.
Objectives
- Planning and implementing the necessary training to build the human resources capacity of the future managing entity
- Endorsing specific actions to improve and expand other water and wastewater systems in the province of Benguela
- Elaborating short-term Operation and Maintenance plans (O&M), including the design and implementation of the immediate operational plans
- Managing the transition and the guarantee period, assisting the Contracting Entity during the transition period
- Developing activities of receipt of service contracts in the client’s name and with the contractors and supervision authorities
- Delivering the necessary conditions for the setting up and implementation of the managing entity
- Defining requirements for the start-up of the future systems-managing company structure
