Description
This TA took place between 2012 and 2013 and aimed to increase the quality of water supply and sanitation services in the city of Caxito in Angola with a particular focus on its economic and financial sustainability. For this purpose an investment program was defined that allowed to increase the rates of coverage of the systems and to guarantee high standards of operability.
Objectives
- Contribute to the autonomous management of water and sanitation services in Caxito
- Develop an investment program to increase the coverage rates of the water and sanitation systems
- Ensure the efficient operation of water supply and sanitation systems, in particular as regards their operation and maintenance
- Identify the gaps on capacity building and define the necessary training actions
Results
The local Water and Sanitation Utility is granted with operational processes and procedures adapted to local and regional challenges in the water and sanitation sector.
