Description
FENAREG - National Federation of Irrigators of Portugal is a non-profit public association of national scope, founded in 2005, which groups entities dedicated to the management of water for irrigation, both superficial and underground, with the objective of joining efforts and to defend their legitimate interests and to promote sustainable development and the competitiveness of irrigated land. It currently has 27 members representing more than 25,000 irrigating farmers and around 126,000 hectares, which means more than 90% of organized irrigation, 76% of public irrigation and about 20% of national irrigation.
Mission: Defense and promotion of the sustainable development of irrigation.
